Happy Independence Day

We celebrated the 4th of July in Nebraska this year. Nate's sister Christi and her family live there, so the entire William Omer Peck family went out and spent the week(except Kelli, she came late). It was a lot of fun and a lot of work for the men, and women. The guys built a rock wall in the front yard, it looks GREAT! Christi and Chuck deserve medals for hosting the event. There were 24 people in one house for the whole week, that gets crazy. It was a blast though, it was really fun the spend so much time with the Peck family. We miss having them around. I took about 300 hundred pictures during the week, not to worry I have only posted some of the ones from the 4th. The rest are yet to come. Anyway, this is Nate and Max getting ready for the big parade.

Waiting for the parade to start. Christi and Chuck live in a little town southwest of Omaha called Louisville (pronounced Lewisville). There isn't anything within 15 minutes of their house. It is a nice little area with a lot of trees and only a few neighbors. Anyway, we went to a parade in a little town called Murdock. It was terrific. The entire parade was only one block long. The announcer was right on front of us and all the "floats" would stop in front of him while he talked about them and let them do their show. It was so great. The very last float was a truck full of watermelons and at the end of the parade they cut up all the watermelon and served it along the parade route, 18 total. Now that's just good small town celebration.

Max worn out after the parade, eating and then sleeping. Luckily it was a 45 minute drive to get home so he had plenty of time for a nap.

That is the end. We had a wonderful day. We are just so grateful for this wonderful country we live in and all of the freedoms we enjoy. We are truly blessed.
