Max at the Zoo

On tuesday I took Max to the zoo for his first time. We went with some friends and had a good time. The weather was great! I love this early fall weather, it is perfect for spending time outdoors. Anyway, I think Max had fun. He was more interested in the fences then the animals but he was happy. He liked being with the other kids so that is all that really matters anyway right. It was kind of tricky to take pictures because everyone else was chasing their own kids so I was on my own, but these are some pretty cute ones I think.

Looking at the elephants. Max mostly liked the fence we were standing by.

The giraffe eating, Max was really interested in this.

Checking out his hand, one of the main attractions for him.

In the giraffe house, yes I have given up on keeping anything on his feet for the time being. We'll try harder when he is walking.

Riding the train, Max really liked that.

Looking at the white alligator.

sorry it's blurry, I turned to flash off to get a better picture of the alligator.

With the flash on

And finally the alligator by itself. kind of interesting.

Happy Anniversary Nate

Today is our 4 year anniversary. I love you so much! Thank you for being there for me and for loving me and for being such a wonderful husband and father. I can't imagine my life without you. You make everything worth while. You make me happy, you make me smile, you make me laugh even when I don't want too. Your honest and kind and you have always treated me with respect and love. I couldn't ask for more. You are truly the best! I can only ask for many, many more years with you. I will love you forever!

I love you!

The week in Omaha

The rest of the trip to Omaha.
The trip was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of some of the fun stuff we did. Max had a great time, he loved being around all of his cousins. I know he is too little to play with them yet, but gets so excited to see them. He managed to get an ear infection when we got home, but we caught it early and frankly we were pretty much expecting it after spending that much time with that many people. We got off easy with only an ear infection. Enough talk, here are the pictures. I can't believe how much Max has changed in the week and a half we have been home. He is growing up so fast.

Grandpa enjoying the home made firework display. It was a really good show for just being done in the front yard. Thanks Chuck and Wayne for the fireworks.

July 4th 2007

Happy Independence Day
We celebrated the 4th of July in Nebraska this year. Nate's sister Christi and her family live there, so the entire William Omer Peck family went out and spent the week(except Kelli, she came late). It was a lot of fun and a lot of work for the men, and women. The guys built a rock wall in the front yard, it looks GREAT! Christi and Chuck deserve medals for hosting the event. There were 24 people in one house for the whole week, that gets crazy. It was a blast though, it was really fun the spend so much time with the Peck family. We miss having them around. I took about 300 hundred pictures during the week, not to worry I have only posted some of the ones from the 4th. The rest are yet to come. Anyway, this is Nate and Max getting ready for the big parade.
Waiting for the parade to start. Christi and Chuck live in a little town southwest of Omaha called Louisville (pronounced Lewisville). There isn't anything within 15 minutes of their house. It is a nice little area with a lot of trees and only a few neighbors. Anyway, we went to a parade in a little town called Murdock. It was terrific. The entire parade was only one block long. The announcer was right on front of us and all the "floats" would stop in front of him while he talked about them and let them do their show. It was so great. The very last float was a truck full of watermelons and at the end of the parade they cut up all the watermelon and served it along the parade route, 18 total. Now that's just good small town celebration.

The whole family waiting for things to get started.

Maximillian hanging out with uncle Rob.

Grandma and Grandpa Peck

Nate and his Dad clapping for the Star Spangled Banner.

So Cool!

Our cute little family in our patriotic colors. Max's shirt says: Rockets are Red, Fireworks are Blue, Fourth of July is fun 'Cuz I'm with you! I know it's cheesy but its cute.

Playing with Daddy.

One of the floats. The oldest Tractor I've ever seen.

Another float, this guy is carrying a sleeping baby. If you look really close you can see the baby on his left shoulder. Gotta love small towns.

The farm equipment part of the parade. How great is that. This is looking up the parade route from the end, and yes you are seeing both ends of the parade.

Max worn out after the parade, eating and then sleeping. Luckily it was a 45 minute drive to get home so he had plenty of time for a nap.

His cute feet.

Just chillin' on a blanket after the parade.

Playing with cousin Sophia. She is so cute, really just beautiful. She is only 2 months younger then Max so hopefully they will be good friends.

That is the end. We had a wonderful day. We are just so grateful for this wonderful country we live in and all of the freedoms we enjoy. We are truly blessed.

Kelli's Graduation

In May we had a busy travel month. Kelli, Nate's sister, graduated from NAU with her master's in Speech Pathology. Hooray! So we went to Phoenix for the graduation which was on saturday the 12th. We flew in friday and spent the night with Kelli and Christi and then the 5 of us woke up at 5:30am to drive to Flagstaff for the graduation. It was an early morning but it was fun and we are glad we went.
Max meeting Lucy, Kelli's dog, for the first time

He REALLY liked her, he laughed and smiled when he saw her, she wasn't so sure about him. She eventually warmed up to him and even treated him like she was his mom. It was pretty hilarious.

Here is Lucy sniffing Max, you can see he is loving it.
